Divine Mercy Sunday Prayer Service
Eucharistic Adoration and Confession: 2-4 pm
Chaplet of Divine Mercy: 3 pm
In 1931, Our Lord appeared to a Polish nun, Sister Maria Faustina Kowalska, and asked her to
help Him institute a Feast of Divine Mercy, “to be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and
especially poor sinners.” (Diary, 699) Jesus promised that “whoever approaches the Fount
of Life on this day will be granted complete remission of sins and punishment.” (Diary,
300) “On this day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean
of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy.” (Diary, 699) In the year
2000, Pope Saint John Paul II canonized Sr. Faustina a Saint and instituted the Feast of Divine
Mercy to be celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter.
Come join us at Our Lady of Good Voyage as we celebrate the Feast of Divine Mercy on
Sunday, April 11, 2021, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. At 3:00 p.m., the hour of great mercy, we will recite
the chaplet of Divine Mercy . . .“At three o’clock, implore My Mercy, especially for sinners;
and, if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in My Passion, particularly in My
abandonment at the moment of agony. This is the hour of great mercy for the whole
world. I will allow you to enter into My mortal sorrow. In this hour, I will refuse nothing to
the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion…” (Diary, 1320)
