Father Jeremy St. Martin shares the Tuesday Shrine Mass schedule with Father Shawn Carey. They are administrators at St. Jude Parish in Waltham, but Father St. Martin also serves the Catholic community at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and is an Affiliate Chaplain at Brandeis University. Father St. Martin grew up in Little Compton, R.I., and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Mass College of Art and Design. He studied American Sign Language at Gallaudet College and served as Interim Director of the Deaf Apostolate of the Archdiocese. He and Father Shawn Carey are working together to gather a group of pilgrims for World Youth Day in Portugal this summer. Spare time is a rarity for priests these days, but when asked about hobbies, Father St. Martin mentioned skiing, Sci-Fi movies, and reading the works of G.K. Chesterton.
